Maintenance Mode — Pause your site in one click

During a major update, redesign or urgent fix, you need to take your site offline without losing visitors or hurting your SEO. WP Swiss Knife offers a complete maintenance mode with custom page and granular access for your team.

What this feature does

Custom maintenance page

Create an elegant maintenance page with your logo, a custom message and an optional countdown. No coding knowledge required.

Admin exceptions

Logged-in administrators access the site normally during maintenance. The front-end remains accessible to verify your changes.

CRON and REST task access

WP-Cron requests and authorized REST API calls continue to work during maintenance so as not to interrupt your automated processes.

Allowed users list

Define a list of specific users who can access the site during maintenance, in addition to administrators.

Access by IP addresses

Allow access from specific IP addresses (office, agency, client) without requiring WordPress login.

Temporary password

Generate a temporary password-protected access link to share with clients or collaborators who don't have a WordPress account.

How it works

1

Customize your page

Add your logo, write your message and configure an optional countdown from the plugin interface.

2

Configure access

Define the users, IP addresses and temporary passwords that can bypass maintenance.

3

Enable maintenance mode

One click is all it takes. Your site displays the maintenance page to visitors while you work peacefully in the background.
